JS 2000 Tomato Plant

You may recall that we had a three day freeze on March 22, 23 and 24th, 2006. It looked as though everything died in my garden. So I replanted on March 25, 2006. This JS 2000 tomato plant was barely six inches tall then. This is that same plant just 45 days later. It seems to like the rain water, wouldn't you agree?

New water storage tank 275 gal.

The new water storage tank holds 275 gallons of water and it is filled to capacity in this picture. I pump rainwater from my rainbarrels into the storage tank. Clean the rainbarrels and let them fill again...

Mr. Mo my momotaro tomato from Japan. He died (I thought) brown to the ground from a freeze on March 22, 2006 ( A day which will live in infamy). I replanted the rest of my garden but left Mr. Mo and a few of his buddies to rest in peace. I resowed on 3/25/06 following that 3-day freeze. When I set about preparing to replanting, lo and behold, Mr. Mo was back. Not without company I might add. A few of his friend showed back up as well. I learn to not be in a hurry and count a good tomato out. This is Mr. Mo today May 03, 2006.

This is an Early Girl tomato plant (2006 Garden).

This is a JS 2000 tomato plant.

Picture taken on May 02, 2006.

This picture was taken on May 02, 2006. I will include two or three others as an update marking the progress of my 50 plant tomato garden. I am still watering with rainwater from my rain-barrels but have purchased a 1/3 hp pump which I used today for the first time. I couldn't be happier. It works GREAT!!!
